Nice looking vintage Jack Kramer tennis racket. It is wooden and has a leather wrapped handle. I saw this racket and thought it was very nice looking and that it had a very classic quality to it. I will admit that I no next to nothing about tennis, but I wanted to connect this piece with someone who would love it. It’s so nice looking, it could be used as wall decor, if not used for tennis itself. I saw a post for a similar item which indicates that if may be from the 1950s. The stringed area of the racket has a width of 8” and a length of 10.5”, which equals 84 square inches. When multiplied by 0.785, the total surface area is 65.4 which, according to the website I’m viewing, means it is a mid-size head. The diameter of the leather wrapped handle is 5” (the top of the little sticker that would have provided that information is worn off so I measured it with a fabric tape - see photo). The total length of the racket is 27”. The racket weighs slightly under one pound. I included a ruler in several of the photos, so please review the photos for yourself incase I am interpreting something incorrectly (as mentioned, I’m not knowledgeable about tennis and don’t want to give anyone the wrong information). Also, please review the photos for the appearance of the item. It does have some wear, likely consistent with its age, but seems to be in good shape overall. There is some green paint near the leather wrapped handle on one side of the racket. The item has no bad smells (ie- cigarette smoke) and will ship from a non-smoking household. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Thanks for viewing!
