These two DAVIS Racquets, from the 1960's / 1970's, are part of a vast Collection of Antiqie & Vintage Wood Tennis Racquets that I have collected during my 40 yr. career as a Head Tennis Professional working at various Exclusive Clubs Resorts up & down the U.S. East Coast...Most of these Racquets I got at Estate Sales in the North East U.S.A. Both Rqts are strung with the Original Strings of that era, the CLASSIC II with Nylon intact & the CLASSIC II with VS Imperial Gut, 9 broken main strings, I HAVE INCLUDED AN ORIGINAL SET OF NEW IMPERIAL GUT FROM THAT ERA as a replacement for the strings in the Classic I. 1. Rare DAVISCLASSIC II .Frame in Excellent Condition, top has minor wearage...all 4 bindings intact....no warpage... logos on head & throat excellent, the 'V' on 'Davis' on one side is blemished slightly, as is 'Classiden Laminated' on one side above the grip....Nylon Strings intact, along with white trim... ...Original Leather Perforated Davis Grip looks New .... 'TAD' Butt Cap intact..has owner's name written on it .Grip Size: 5L...Wt. 12.8 oz. 2. Rare DAVIS CLASSIC I ... Frame in Great Condition..top has minor wearage....all 4 .bindings intact, slight wearage on one of them....no warpage... all logos on the head & shaft are good, .... strings Imperial Gut has 9 broken main strings NEW set of Imperial Gut included...Original Smooth Leather Grip is worn, but intact ....'
